Departure…may the story begin

We left our home in Grande Cache, AB on Thursday November 21, 2013 early morning. The drive via Jasper, Columbia Icefields, Lake Louise to Banff was beautiful as always. Since we moved from Calgary to Grande Cache in early 2012, we travelled this very scenic road many times, but never get tired of it. It doesn’t matter if you drive through in spring, summer, fall or winter; if it’s sunny, rainy, cloudy or snowy; traversing the rugged landscape of the Canadian Rockies is simply breathtaking! We have lots of great memories, but this time though we did not spend much time on the Icefields Parkway, because we were on a mission. We had an important appointment in Banff:-)

We’re happy we had a great start of our adventure!
